You Say Bimbo Like It’s a Bad Thing?

  I  had a recent discussion today with a friend who admitted the term “bimbo” used to make her sad. Because of the negative connotations. The term bimbo was first created by the Itallian. “Bizarrely, bimbo is another word to have changed its sex. Derived from an Italian word for a baby boy, when it first emerged in American slang around the turn of the 20th century, it referred to a menacing, brutish bully (perhaps a reference to a baby's equally stocky, thickset physique) or a dolt.”   At some point in America: “Bimbo is slang for a conventionally attractive, sexualized naïve woman. The term was originally used in the United States as early as 1919 for an unintelligent or brutish man. As of the early 21st century, the "stereotypical bimbo" appearance became akin to that of a physically attractive woman.”  However I have always found the term bimbo attractive and positive!
